By joining the Edge Performing Arts Inc. Dance Team you are adhering to all policies and procedures that have been put in place. Dance Team is a 36 week commitment, lessons are paid by 3 payments Fall, Winter, Spring, costume fee due in the fall, entry fee due in the fall.. After 1st payment is received, future invoices will be automatically emailed to you two weeks before due date. Past due fees are automatially programmed to apply past due fees on the set date and time. Past due fees are not able to be reversed in the system without the customer incurring additional costs that are more than the past due fee.
Fee and due dates of payments are clearly stated on the Registration form, and Event Dates, Session Dates for Dance Lessons and Payment Due Dates are found on Stack TeamApp titled "Important Dates" and sent by email in May to allow you and your family plan ahead and save the date for your upcoming events and payments. Event Dates is Subject to Change.
Teams are established in July. Dancers can not join Dance Team after set date, unless authorized by The Edge Admin Team.
As a member on The Edge School of Performing Arts Dance Team you commit to participating in all three judging and recital event per class routine. For Solos/Duet/Trio/Small Group, you commit to three judging events with optional fourth judging event . Performing at Recital in group routines is mandatory as part of the dancers commitment to The Edge Dance Team. If your dancer is not able to perform at recital send an email to TheEdgePA@icloud.com. Not attending recital without approval from the Director may reflect in future opportunity to be part of The Edge Dance Team. Dates Subject to Change. Event Dates, Session Dates for Dance Lessons and
Mandatory Class: The only mandatory class to be part of our Dance Team is one ballet class a week (two 30 min ballet classes for Int & Sr Team, one 40 min ballet class for Jr Team) From there Jr Team members have the option to add jazz, tap, skills technique clinic, contemporary/hip hop clinic, specialty routine, Int & Sr Team members have the option to add jazz, lyrical, tap, skills technique clinic, contemporary/hip hop clinic, specialty routines. Term fee for Dance Team Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical class comes with one performance routine that performs in four mandatory events: three judging events and recital. Int & Sr Dance Team Ballet Term fee comes with the option to perform in a specialty contemporary group and specialty musical theatre group. Specialty contemporary group and specialty musical theatre group routine is taught during ballet class and performs in three mandatory judging events with option of a fourth optional judging event, no performance in recital. Int & Sr Hip Hop Group Choreography Fee covers the cost of the Choreographer and Edge Instructors fees to teach the routine and clean up, not specific amount of hours. The amount of hours designated to participating in the choreography vary from year to year based on what the choreographer and Edge Instructors implement. . The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) has the right to make the decision to combine the Inter and Sr dancers for one Hip Hop specialty routine or split the Inter and Sr into two groups for Hip Hop specialty routine. Class Group Performance Routine song length minimum 1min 50seconds, maximum 2min 30seconds. *The final song length and edit is the decision of the Instructor. The Edge Media Department edits music, formats music and uploads music to the judging events audio systems. Choreography is done by the choreographer only.

Dance Team Participation: Being a member of The Edge Dance Team is a special privilege. The Artistic Director, Instructors and Assistants evaluate students throughout the year assessing each members Passion For Dance, Commitment, Progression on Skills & Technique, Collaborative Spirit, Positive Attitude and Work Ethic. If, after careful consideration, we determine that the dancer meets the criteria and continue to demonstrate a commitment and passion for dance, the dancer will be extended an invitation to participate on The Edge Dance Team for another year. We value the contributions of each team member and understand that growth and improvement are ongoing processes. Our goal is to foster an environment where every member can thrive and contribute to the collective success of the team. Invitation to Participate on The Edge Dance Team will arrive by email and will have attached the link to your registration form. Dancers can not miss class the week of judging events. As with any program, steady attendance is requirement for success. Failure to meet such requirements may lead to dismissal from the program or adjustment in level. Charges and tuition may apply. Classes and Dance Teams are grouped by school grade not skill level. The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) is not responsible if you register for the wrong class and as a result classes are missed. Dancers can not stay down a level or move up a level. Request to be moved a level for carpooling, siblings to be together, to be with friends or cousins, date of birth, skill level or schedule conflict are not excepted.
Session Dates and Fees: 1. Session Dates are clearly stated on Registration form. Fees are clearly stated on schedule that is sent in the Invitation to Participate on The Edge Dance Team Email. Class cancellation due to holidays, inclement weather or extenuating circumstances and extra non class times such as practices, rehearsals, studio events/performances, staff at competition have already been taking into account in determining the Session Tuition. 2. Once Dance Team registration closes, no further opportunities to join the team will be available unless authorized by The Edge Admin Team. Additionally, pro-rated session fees will not be offered.. Dance Team is a 36 week commitment, lessons are paid by 3 payments Fall, Winter, Spring plus Admin Fee, costume fee due in the fall, entry fee due in the fall.. Past due fees are automatially programmed to apply past due fees on the set date and time. They cannot reverse their system without the customer facing additional costs that exceed the past due fee. There will be no refunds on partially attended months. If additional classes are added after payment for Fall Session Lessons, a processing fee will be applied.
Dance Team Communication: You will be added to Stack TeamApp and will receive updates by email. You can Download Stack TeamApp to any device. When you use Stack TeamApp, you may grant certain permissions to use your device. Most mobile devices provide you with information about these permissions. For most iOS devices: Open the iOS Settings screen; and select the app to see the features the app has permission to use. For most Windows devices, on the Start screen, tap or click Store to open the Windows Store, search or browse for an app, and then tap or click it; and scroll to the Details section of the app's description page to see the features the app has permission to use. When you use our Site or Apps, you may also be using the services of one or more third parties, such as a wireless carrier or a mobile platform provider. Your use of these third party services may be subject to the separate policies, terms of use, and fees of these third parties.
Costume Fee: 1.Costumes are meant to complement the song and create uniformity amongst the dancers, which brings the entire dance to life. Costumes portray or relate to some characteristic, mood, or theme of the dance that assists with overall judging. 2. Costumes are part of the awarded marks at judging events. 3. Costume Fee must be paid for before costume is ordered. Costumes will not be ordered if payment is not received. There is a $50 late fee automatically applied to the invoice after the deadline date and time. If payment and $50 late fee is received after due date and time, dancer still needs permission from the Artistic Director to remain on the team. 4. Dance Team Costumes approx. cost $90 - $180. The Edge School of Performing Arts continues to select costumes that are age appropriate, justifiable and affordable. 5. Costumes are made to order and some custom made. 6. Costume fees covers costs of outfit, shipping, data entry of each size, data entry ordering each size, steaming each costume, manually packaging and labelling each costume, financial transaction, processing fees, accounting fees for invoice set up and processing payments, service fee for travelling to different stores and price inquires. Taxes are not included in Costume Fees. 7. No cancellation, refunds or returns after payment is submitted, no exceptions. Dancers will be measured and have a fitting to confirm proper sizing. The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) approaches costumes with the best interest of dance families in mind and works hard to find costumes that are available in all sizes, justifiable in price, performance appropriate and when possible wearable after performance. 8. Costume Sizing: Each dancer is measured during class time for costumes to be worn January - June 2024. Costumes are to be form fitted, look polished and professional. When costumes arrive dancers will have a fitting during class time. During the fitting if a dancer is unsure of sizing it must be communicated to the instructor so The Edge School of Performing Arts Customer Support can set up a day and time for the parent to come in and confirm sizing. After fitting has been finalized costumes will be sent home. Once costumes are taken home costumes are final, there are no exchanges, no refunds, no exceptions. Any accessories (such as but not limited to scrunchies, belts, gloves, headbands, bows/flowers) misplaced after costume is brought home are not the responsibility of The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) and will need to be replaced by the customer in order for the dancer to be permitted to perform.
Dress Rehearsal: 1. On a designated day, dancers will arrive to class at The Edge School of Performing Arts in full costume, hair and light make up for Dress Rehearsal, video recording and photos. Attendance is mandatory for the week of Dress Rehearsal unless absent due to illness/injury. If students are missing due to illness/injury, the designated day will be rescheduled. The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) has the right to change this date.
Recital Ticket, Participation Policy and Recital Fee: 1. Performing at Recital in group routine(s) is mandatory as part of the dancers commitment to The Edge Dance Team. Specialty Routines (solo, duet, trio, small group, production, musical theatre, contemporary, extended lines) do not perform in recital. 2. Jr/Inter Teams perform in a separate show to the Sr Teams. There are no discounts on tickets/participation fee for families that have siblings/cousins in different shows. 3. Please stay until the Recital is Entirely Finished, the dancers closing the recital deserve recognition as much as those at the start. 4. Parent/Guardian of dancer will receive a link to a FREE video of your dancer's recital routine for you to download as keepsake. No videotaping the performance on cell phone, iPad, or any other screen device and no flash photography. This is for safety reasons and to prevent injury, also to allow fellow audience members to see their dancer on stage and not through the screen of a device in front of them. 5. Everyone entering the theatre requires a ticket. Dancer's do no need a ticketParents/Guardians are not permitted in the stage area.Children 3 and under do not need to purchase a ticket if sitting on parents lap. Seating is First Come First Serve. Recital tickets are valid for the day of the performance on the ticket only. Tickets are final sale, No Refunds, No Exchange, No Credit.6. Online ticket order ends on a certain date and time, after this date and time, if tickets are still available they can be purchased at the door on the day of the event 7. Seating is First Come First Serve. Recital tickets are valid for the day of the performance on the ticket only. 8. Tickets must be presented before entry to theatre as The Edge School of Performing Arts has to keep capacity count due to fire safety regulations. *If Tickets are forgotten at home and the ticket holder is not able to go home to get tickets, the ticket holder will have to leave credit card information for the number of tickets before entry into theatre. If tickets are not returned within 7 days in person the credit card will be charged for number of entry tickets. If ticket holder returns the tickets in person their credit card will not be charged. Photo of tickets on phone is not valid. 9. Recital Fee: On your third payment for lessons (Spring) a Recital Fee will be automatically added to your invoice. This fee is equivalent to the value of one recital ticket or participation fee. Here's how it works:- If you choose to order a recital ticket for your dancer's performance, the Recital Fee will cover the cost of one ticket. You will not be required to make an additional payment for the one ticket. Any additional tickets you order on the ticket order form will be invoiced separately.- If you decide not to order a recital ticket, rest assured that the Recital Fee will still cover your dancer's participation fee. This means that your dancer can participate in the recital without the need for any additional payment from you. We believe that this approach simplifies the process for everyone involved and ensures that all dancers can take part in the recital.- There are no discounts on tickets/participation fee for families that have siblings/cousins in different shows
Entry Fees: All entry fees are to be paid, failure to do so will result in your dancer not being entered into events. No refunds or cancellations after payment has been submitted. Entry Fee covers venue, audio judges critiques, custom awards, for some events digital photo of each solo/duet/trio/group routine that your dancer is registered in & digital video for you to download is included and some events this is an extra cost, special awards, free admission to all for "live" event. For some events digital program is included and some events this is an extra cost. Entry fees must be paid by the required due date. Failure to do so will result in your dancer not participating in Judging event. There is a $50 late fee that is automatically applied after the deadline date and time. Links for judges critiques will be sent by The Edge Admin Team as soon as The Edge School of Performing Arts receives them. Judges critiques and scores for group routines will be emailed via Stack TeamApp, judges critiques and scores for solos/duet/trios will sent by direct email from The Edge Admin Team.
Judging entry fees are collected from you "the client" and are administered to the Competition from The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) on "the clients" behalf. By attending such judging events"the client" accepts any liabilities that may occur and which "the client" may incur and not The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) such liabilities might include cancelation due to pandemic, weather or unforeseen circumstances. "The Client" understands that The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) is not holding their entry fees. Entry fees are collected on behalf of "the client" and sent to the competition. Travel costs and accommodations for each competition are the responsibility of "the client". Judging Event fees and any ordered costumes will be the responsibility of "the client" as they are not refundable by the judging event/suppliers. The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) continues to email each family "client" updates, communication and website links from each Dance Judging Event Company. When entering judging events you agree to all entry fees you have paid. The Edge Performing Arts Inc. is not responsible or liable for any entry fees you have paid to the judging event
Processing Fee: The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) charges a processing fee on entry fees. The processing fee covers costs of data entry of each dancers name and birthdate per event in the events data system which has to be done manually each year, data entry of each routine title and dancers in that routine, data entry of length of music, data entry if props are used, uploading music to data system per event, labeling each file to the entry numbers given by each event, video/judges audio uploading, video/judges audio data entry submission, video/audio judging encoding, financial transaction and processing fees, accounting fees for invoice set up and processing payments. If refund/adjustment fee are given by an event or if the event changes to virtual and there is a change in fee, The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) charges a processing fee for accounting fees, processing refunds and financial transaction fees. Processing Fee is non refundable. Once entry fee paid no refund Any request to cancel entry fee before deadline date expires, there will be a $75 cancellation fee + 3% processing fee..
When registering to perform at such events you are adhering to the Judging Event Companies Release of Liability and Policies. These policies are found on the Judging Event Website that have been provided to you on Stack TeamApp and Agreement Form. It is the parent/guardian's responsibility to review the terms and conditions of these judging events. You are releasing The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) from any liabilities associated with attending these judging events
Edge Spirit Wear: Dancers are to wear Edge Jacket/Hoodie/T-shirt when on stage to receive awards. If dancer isn't wearing Edge Jacket/Hoodie/T-shirt for award ceremony, dancer will watch awards from audience.
Prize/Custom Awards: Any prize money won for solo, duet, trio is credited to the students account at The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) Prize money won for group routines belongs to The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) to offset competition expenses such as props, transportation and The Edge School of Performing Arts representative on event date. Custom Awards that are given with prize money or given for achieving high scores for solo, duet, trio will be given to the dancer keep. Custom Awards that are given with prize money or given for achieving high scores for groups belongs to The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.)
Judging Event Rules & Regulations: 1. The Edge Stage Stars Judging Event: If "live" event is not able to run "in person" entries will perform "virtually". If Dancer is not able to participate due to injury or conflict of date, dancer will be adjudicated virtually. Dancers that perform virtually receive digital video of routine, digital photo, adjudication, medal, pin, and award ribbons, eligibility for special awards, eligibility for most promising, eligibility for outstanding achievement and eligibility for highest overall mark. No Refunds, No Cancellations or No Credit. 2. Judging Events hosted by other companies: if "Live" event is not able to run in person a virtual option may be offered if resources are available or event will be postponed. No Refunds, No Cancellations or No Credit. 3. Judging Events reserve the right to add/subtract days, move/postpone or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances. Dates and Faculty are subject to change. If you have a conflict of date with an event after payment is submitted there is no cancelation or refund for that date. 4. Judging Events reserve the right to run their schedule up to one hour earlier than the scheduled performance time. 5. Judging Events reserves the right to combine or split categories. 6. Cell Phones and Other Mobile Devices may not be used in photographic or video mode in any change room, rest room, or other private area of the competition. Additionally, no calls may be placed or taken in the theatre/ballroom, or back stage. Please use common courtesy when using mobile devices in other areas of the competition. 7. Personal photography is allowed in public areas of the competition only. You must have consent to photograph any other attendee, spectator or team member. Judging Events allow designated staff to take images of attendees and spectators for social media and other promotional purposes, including on stage during performance and awards ceremonies, back stage, warm up room, lobby, or anything within the event vicinity. Disqualification will only occur at the discretion of the event directors. 8. No Communication with the Judges (Oral or Written) by Teachers, Parents, or Dancers during the Event is Permitted. The Decision of the adjudicators is final.
Entry Fee Refund Policy: 1. Judging Events: No Refunds, Cancellations or Credit. Judging Events are not held responsible for sudden cancellation or time lost due to extreme weather, black outs, power outage, bomb threats, terrorism, pandemic, epidemic, quarantine, illness outbreak, disease, or any other event beyond the control of the judging events. The Edge Stage Stars: No refunds/cancellations due to injury or illness. Refund Policy for other judging events are outlined on their websites.
Date & Time Schedule for Judging Event: 1. Final performance schedule with performance date and times will be sent via Stack TeamApp a couple of weeks before event takes place. As soon as The Edge School of Performing Arts receives the finalized schedule, performance date and times will be sent via Stack TeamApp. By registering for these events you are committing to being available for all dates listed for these events. The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) is not able to accept schedule requests or change of date. 2. On the day of Judging Event, the Dancer must be in rehearsal space at time noted on the schedule. If dancer is not present at rehearsal and no communication has been made by email to TheEdgePA@icloud.com with reason for being late, dancer will not be permitted to go on stage and perform. If Dancer forgets tights or part of costume, dancer will not be permitted to go on stage and perform. Dancers are to wear Edge Jacket/Hoodie/T-shirt when on stage to receive awards. If dancer isn't wearing Edge Jacket/Hoodie/T-shirt for award ceremony, dancer will watch awards from audience. Hair and make up is to be presentable and professional. 3. Staying overnight at a hotel where a dance competition event is taking place or near dance competition event is at the discretion of the parent. It is not mandatory to stay at hotel when attending competition events. Dance Competition Companies offer Group discount rates at participating hotel. Hotel information can be found on the competition website. It is the responsibility of the parent not The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) to access that information from the competition website. Group rates only available for duration of specific date or quantity of rooms available.
Indemnification and Release of Liability Policy: By registering you agree to waive, release and forever discharge any and all claims or causes of actions which you may have now or hereafter against The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.), whether known or unknown, arising out of any injuries, contraction of infectious communicable disease, or damage that the undersigned may sustain in connection to their participation in program and will indemnify and hold harmless The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.), it's directors, officers, employees, volunteers and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") you further agree not to sue The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) for the claims waived and released in our School Policies.
Workshop/Convention Company Cancellation Policy: There is no Cancellation for Workshop/Convention Registrations once payment is submitted. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. No refunds. Spaces are limited. The Workshop/Convention Company reserves the right to limit registration. The Workshop/Convention reserves the right to cancel workshop due to insufficient registrations.
Hip Hop Routine with Guest Choreographer: 1. Registration for this program is done at the time of initial registration. 2. Dates and times are subject to change.3. Dance Team Hip Hop Guest Choreography Routine Cancellation Policy: 1. There are no cancellations from 10 days prior to the start date of the Choreography Date. 2. Any Cancellation prior to the 10 days before start date of the Choreography are subject to $40 Adjustment Fee plus 3% processing fee as dancer is registered taking a spot and choreography has been set with your dancer in the routine. 3. In the Case you need to cancel Hip Hop Guest Choreography Routine, you must submit your request to The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) by email to TheEdgePA@icloud.com. Once notice is received, refund process will commence. Administration fees are non refundable. 4. Allow 30 days for a refund to process.
Specialty Routines: (Solo, Duet, Trio, Small Group) perform in three judging events. A fourth optional competition can be selected for Specialty Routines. In an effort to make recitals a comfortable length for audience attendees and dancers, Specialty Routines do not perform in recital. Specialty Routine Choreography fees are outlined on the registration form. Specialty Routine Choreography fee covers cost of learning the specialty routine. Once specialty routine is choreographed it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to book half or hour private lessons to prepare for judging event. Private lessons can be done before the judging events or after each judging event. You decide how many practices you would like after the initial 1 hour lesson to learn the choreography, followed by two half hour sessions for performance preparation before the first judging event. Four Half Hour practices is recommended for those seeking to accomplish strong results. If specialty routine is presented during class time, it is not for the purpose of practicing the specialty routine or to receive corrections from instructor.
“Specialty Routine”: Dancers wanting a “Specialty Routine” ie. solo, duet, trio or small group must submit their request on the registration form. All applications are reviewed by The Admin Team. Dancer selects the song and style of dance. When selecting solo, duet, trio, dancer selects style of dance according to classes they are currently registered in. For example, a dancer that doesn't take lyrical class can not do a lyrical solo, duet, trio or small group. If you register for a "specialty routine" after you submitted and paid for your Registration, a processing fee will be charged to cover the cost of adding a spot on the roster, the expense of record keeping, accounting, and other administrative costs. Dancers must maintain an average mark of 87 or higher in your competitive season to be eligible for a solo the following year
The Edge solo/duet/trio/small group "Specialty Routine" Policy and Commitment: 1. Solo/Duet/Trio/Small Group Specialty Routine Performance Routine song length minimum 1min 50seconds, maximum 2min 30seconds. *The final song length and edit is the decision of the Instructor. The Edge Media Department edits music, formats music and uploads music to the judging events audio systems. Choreography is done by the choreographer only. 2. Mandatory lesson for Solo/Duet/Trio/Small Group: Mandatory 1 hour private lesson to learn the choreography paid at time of registration. Followed by two mandatory 30min private lessons booked before first judging event to work on spacing, counts, strength and facial expressions (the two mandatory 30min private lessons need to be booked before the first judging event) to properly prepare performance requirements that are needed for successful results. Payment due no later than the week before the private lesson. - additional 30min private lessons can be booked at anytime or between judging events, you can book as many private lessons as you feel necessary.- For those seeking to accomplish strong results, it is recommended to have four half hour lessons after learning the choreography (2 before first judging event, one before second judging event and one before third judging event) This allows the dancer to work on strengthening the solo and applying feedback from judges critiques. 3. Solo/duet/trio/small group must be practiced weekly at home on dancers own time. Create a weekly practice schedule running the routine three times in a row once a week, if dancer is in a small group they can run the routine on their own. First run through work on counts, second run through work on strong arms, feet, technique and third run through add facial expressions. 4. In an effort to not confuse a "run through" holding the same value as a "lesson", Solo/duet/trio/small group are not be permitted to run before/after/between/during class on a weekly basis. Two 30min private lessons after learning the choreography is mandatory to properly prepare performance requirements that are needed for successful results. Additional private lessons can be booked-Two weeks before dress rehearsal and first judging event, solo/duet/trio/small group will dance once before/after/between class. One week before the 2nd & 3rd judging event, solo/duet/trio/small group will dance once before/after/between class. The instructor will organize this the week before.5. The dancer selects the song and style of dance (the dance style choices are: ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, musical theatre, open, contemporary, hip hop). Once you have a song selected send an email to TheEdgePA@icloud.com to have the song approved and reserved for you. Once a song has been reserved for a dancer or group, it can not be used for another dance. You can send an email to request suggestions if you need assistance to TheEdgePA@icloud.com. - song is to be finalized the week before the 1 hour choreography lesson. - if you have questions about music send an email to TheEdgePA@icloud.com. If solo music isn’t received one week prior to choreography session, choreography session will be rescheduled to allow enough time for the instructor to prepare the routine and media department edit music. 6. Dancers selecting a Solo/Duet/Trio/Small Group must select a style of dance according to classes they are currently registered in. For example, a dancer that does not take lyrical class can not do a lyrical solo. Int 2/Sr Dancers selecting a Pointe Solo/Duet/Trio are required to do 15min pointe class during ballet class for all 3 Terms. 7. Parent/Guardian selects and purchases costume for solo/duet/trio/small group. The Edge Admin Team will email suggestions of where to purchase costume.8. "Specialty Routines" (solo/duet/trio/small group) perform in three judging events (not recital) with an option of a fourth optional judging event. This is in an effort to make recitals a comfortable length for audience attendees and to be mindful of not overloading dancers with too many costume changes. Production and Extended Line perform in three judging events only (not recital), in an effort to make recital a comfortable length for audience attendees and to be mindful of not overloading dancers with too many costume changes.Grads (dancers who are graduating from grade 12), will perform a 2 min routine together with spotlight solo moment in recital (not "specialty routines" solos, duet, trios, small groups). This is in effort to celebrate the graduates as a unit and in an effort to make recitals a comfortable length for audience attendees9. Dancer's selecting a Duet/Trio/Small Group can partner with anyone on Jr, Inter or Sr Teams only. Alumni dancer's can not partner with Jr/Inter/Sr for duet/trio/small group.
Dance Team Code of Conduct: PURPOSE: The purpose of The Edge Dance Teams is to provide students with an opportunity to participate in an activity and develop sportsmanship, character, and competitiveness. As a member of the Dance Team you represent our dance program; and your conduct and actions in the classroom, on the dance floor, and attending dance related events should not deviate from the regulations and code of conduct set forth in our Code of Conduct. Team members must show determination, dedication, and desire to be a productive member of this team. It is the dancers’ responsibility to remember choreography and to learn and practice any choreography missed due to absences before their next practice. PRACTICE ETIQUETTE AND BEHAVIOUR: One verbal warning will be given for any unruly behaviour in practice. This includes talking on stage, non-participation or any behaviour disruptive to the team. A written agreement will be given for a second warning. A dancer will be asked to leave practice in lieu of any additional warnings. No cell phones during practice, rehearsal or before going on stage. When dancer is going to mark movement is must be verbalized to instructor in order for the instructor to know why the dancer is marking movement. DEDICATION: There is a level of commitment required to be a part of the Dance Team. You must have a desired level of commitment not just for yourself, but for your ENTIRE team. Being on this team you depend on all of your other team mates to be at practice consistently and do their part in having the knowledge of their routine. If at anytime you are not doing your part as a productive member of this team you will be first given a warning, second written agreement, if situation is not resolved you may be suspended from the Dance Team. Example – Correcting team mates, arguing about counts, arguing who went faster, making negative comments about other dancers or making comments on who will win solo/duet/trio/ sm grp category ……..Use Time Management Techniques for studying and homework!

Mandatory Class: The only mandatory class to be part of our Dance Team is one ballet class a week (two 30 min ballet classes for Int & Sr Team, one 40 min ballet class for Jr Team) From there Jr Team members have the option to add jazz, tap, skills technique clinic, contemporary/hip hop clinic, specialty routine, Int & Sr Team members have the option to add jazz, lyrical, tap, skills technique clinic, contemporary/hip hop clinic, specialty routines. Term fee for Dance Team Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical class comes with one performance routine that performs in four mandatory events: three judging events and recital. Int & Sr Dance Team Ballet Term fee comes with the option to perform in a specialty contemporary group and specialty musical theatre group. Specialty contemporary group and specialty musical theatre group routine is taught during ballet class and performs in three mandatory judging events with option of a fourth optional judging event, no performance in recital. Int & Sr Hip Hop Group Choreography Fee covers the cost of the Choreographer and Edge Instructors fees to teach the routine and clean up, not specific amount of hours. The amount of hours designated to participating in the choreography vary from year to year based on what the choreographer and Edge Instructors implement. . The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) has the right to make the decision to combine the Inter and Sr dancers for one Hip Hop specialty routine or split the Inter and Sr into two groups for Hip Hop specialty routine. Class Group Performance Routine song length minimum 1min 50seconds, maximum 2min 30seconds. *The final song length and edit is the decision of the Instructor. The Edge Media Department edits music, formats music and uploads music to the judging events audio systems. Choreography is done by the choreographer only.

Dance Team Participation: Being a member of The Edge Dance Team is a special privilege. The Artistic Director, Instructors and Assistants evaluate students throughout the year assessing each members Passion For Dance, Commitment, Progression on Skills & Technique, Collaborative Spirit, Positive Attitude and Work Ethic. If, after careful consideration, we determine that the dancer meets the criteria and continue to demonstrate a commitment and passion for dance, the dancer will be extended an invitation to participate on The Edge Dance Team for another year. We value the contributions of each team member and understand that growth and improvement are ongoing processes. Our goal is to foster an environment where every member can thrive and contribute to the collective success of the team. Invitation to Participate on The Edge Dance Team will arrive by email and will have attached the link to your registration form. Dancers can not miss class the week of judging events. As with any program, steady attendance is requirement for success. Failure to meet such requirements may lead to dismissal from the program or adjustment in level. Charges and tuition may apply. Classes and Dance Teams are grouped by school grade not skill level. The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) is not responsible if you register for the wrong class and as a result classes are missed. Dancers can not stay down a level or move up a level. Request to be moved a level for carpooling, siblings to be together, to be with friends or cousins, date of birth, skill level or schedule conflict are not excepted.
Session Dates and Fees: 1. Session Dates are clearly stated on Registration form. Fees are clearly stated on schedule that is sent in the Invitation to Participate on The Edge Dance Team Email. Class cancellation due to holidays, inclement weather or extenuating circumstances and extra non class times such as practices, rehearsals, studio events/performances, staff at competition have already been taking into account in determining the Session Tuition. 2. Once Dance Team registration closes, no further opportunities to join the team will be available unless authorized by The Edge Admin Team. Additionally, pro-rated session fees will not be offered.. Dance Team is a 36 week commitment, lessons are paid by 3 payments Fall, Winter, Spring plus Admin Fee, costume fee due in the fall, entry fee due in the fall.. After 1st payment is received, future invoices will be automatically emailed to you two weeks before due date. Past due fees are automatially programmed to apply past due fees on the set date and time. They cannot reverse their system without the customer facing additional costs that exceed the past due fee. There will be no refunds on partially attended months. If additional classes are added after payment for Fall Session Lessons, a processing fee will be applied.
Dance Team Communication: You will be added to Stack TeamApp and will receive updates by email. You can Download Stack TeamApp to any device. When you use Stack TeamApp, you may grant certain permissions to use your device. Most mobile devices provide you with information about these permissions. For most iOS devices: Open the iOS Settings screen; and select the app to see the features the app has permission to use. For most Windows devices, on the Start screen, tap or click Store to open the Windows Store, search or browse for an app, and then tap or click it; and scroll to the Details section of the app's description page to see the features the app has permission to use. When you use our Site or Apps, you may also be using the services of one or more third parties, such as a wireless carrier or a mobile platform provider. Costume Fee: 1.Costumes are meant to complement the song and create uniformity amongst the dancers, which brings the entire dance to life. Costumes portray or relate to some characteristic, mood, or theme of the dance that assists with overall judging. 2. Costumes are part of the awarded marks at judging events. 3. Costume Fee must be paid for before costume is ordered. Costumes will not be ordered if payment is not received. There is a $50 late fee automatically applied to the invoice after the deadline date and time. If payment and $50 late fee is received after due date and time, dancer still needs permission from the Artistic Director to remain on the team. 4. Dance Team Costumes approx. cost $90 - $180. The Edge School of Performing Arts continues to select costumes that are age appropriate, justifiable and affordable. 5. Costumes are made to order and some custom made. 6. Costume fees covers costs of outfit, shipping, data entry of each size, data entry ordering each size, steaming each costume, manually packaging and labelling each costume, financial transaction, processing fees, accounting fees for invoice set up and processing payments, service fee for travelling to different stores and price inquires. Taxes are not included in Costume Fees. 7. No cancellation, refunds or returns after payment is submitted, no exceptions. Dancers will be measured and have a fitting to confirm proper sizing. The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) approaches costumes with the best interest of dance families in mind and works hard to find costumes that are available in all sizes, justifiable in price, performance appropriate and when possible wearable after performance. 8. Costume Sizing: Each dancer is measured during class time for costumes to be worn January - June 2024. Costumes are to be form fitted, look polished and professional. When costumes arrive dancers will have a fitting during class time. During the fitting if a dancer is unsure of sizing it must be communicated to the instructor so The Edge School of Performing Arts Customer Support can set up a day and time for the parent to come in and confirm sizing. After fitting has been finalized costumes will be sent home. Once costumes are taken home costumes are final, there are no exchanges, no refunds, no exceptions. Any accessories (such as but not limited to scrunchies, belts, gloves, headbands, bows/flowers) misplaced after costume is brought home are not the responsibility of The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) and will need to be replaced by the customer in order for the dancer to be permitted to perform.
Dress Rehearsal: 1. On a designated day, dancers will arrive to class at The Edge School of Performing Arts in full costume, hair and light make up for Dress Rehearsal, video recording and photos. Attendance is mandatory for the week of Dress Rehearsal unless absent due to illness/injury. If students are missing due to illness/injury, the designated day will be rescheduled. The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) has the right to change this date.
Recital Ticket, Participation Policy and Recital Fee: 1. Performing at Recital in group routine(s) is mandatory as part of the dancers commitment to The Edge Dance Team. Specialty Routines (solo, duet, trio, small group, production, musical theatre, contemporary, extended lines) do not perform in recital. 2. Jr/Inter Teams perform in a separate show to the Sr Teams. There are no discounts on tickets/participation fee for families that have siblings/cousins in different shows. 3. Please stay until the Recital is Entirely Finished, the dancers closing the recital deserve recognition as much as those at the start. 4. Parent/Guardian of dancer will receive a link to a FREE video of your dancer's recital routine for you to download as keepsake. No videotaping the performance on cell phone, iPad, or any other screen device and no flash photography. This is for safety reasons and to prevent injury, also to allow fellow audience members to see their dancer on stage and not through the screen of a device in front of them. 5. Everyone entering the theatre requires a ticket. Dancer's do no need a ticketParents/Guardians are not permitted in the stage area.Children 3 and under do not need to purchase a ticket if sitting on parents lap. Seating is First Come First Serve. Recital tickets are valid for the day of the performance on the ticket only. Tickets are final sale, No Refunds, No Exchange, No Credit.6. Online ticket order ends on a certain date and time, after this date and time, if tickets are still available they can be purchased at the door on the day of the event 7. Seating is First Come First Serve. Recital tickets are valid for the day of the performance on the ticket only. 8. Tickets must be presented before entry to theatre as The Edge School of Performing Arts has to keep capacity count due to fire safety regulations. *If Tickets are forgotten at home and the ticket holder is not able to go home to get tickets, the ticket holder will have to leave credit card information for the number of tickets before entry into theatre. If tickets are not returned within 7 days in person the credit card will be charged for number of entry tickets. If ticket holder returns the tickets in person their credit card will not be charged. Photo of tickets on phone is not valid. 9. Recital Fee: On your third payment for lessons (Spring) a Recital Fee will be automatically added to your invoice. This fee is equivalent to the value of one recital ticket or participation fee. Here's how it works:- If you choose to order a recital ticket for your dancer's performance, the Recital Fee will cover the cost of one ticket. You will not be required to make an additional payment for the one ticket. Any additional tickets you order on the ticket order form will be invoiced separately.- If you decide not to order a recital ticket, rest assured that the Recital Fee will still cover your dancer's participation fee. This means that your dancer can participate in the recital without the need for any additional payment from you. We believe that this approach simplifies the process for everyone involved and ensures that all dancers can take part in the recital.- There are no discounts on tickets/participation fee for families that have siblings/cousins in different shows
Entry Fees: All entry fees are to be paid, failure to do so will result in your dancer not being entered into events. No refunds or cancellations after payment has been submitted. Entry Fee covers venue, audio judges critiques, custom awards, for some events digital photo of each solo/duet/trio/group routine that your dancer is registered in & digital video for you to download is included and some events this is an extra cost, special awards, free admission to all for "live" event. For some events digital program is included and some events this is an extra cost. Entry fees must be paid by the required due date. Failure to do so will result in your dancer not participating in Judging event. There is a $50 late fee that is automatically applied after the deadline date and time. Links for judges critiques will be sent by The Edge Admin Team as soon as The Edge School of Performing Arts receives them. Judging entry fees are collected from you "the client" and are administered to the Competition from The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) on "the clients" behalf. By attending such judging events"the client" accepts any liabilities that may occur and which "the client" may incur and not The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) such liabilities might include cancelation due to pandemic, weather or unforeseen circumstances. "The Client" understands that The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) is not holding their entry fees. Entry fees are collected on behalf of "the client" and sent to the competition. Travel costs and accommodations for each competition are the responsibility of "the client". Judging Event fees and any ordered costumes will be the responsibility of "the client" as they are not refundable by the judging event/suppliers. The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) continues to email each family "client" updates, communication and website links from each Dance Judging Event Company. When entering judging events you agree to all entry fees you have paid. The Edge Performing Arts Inc. is not responsible or liable for any entry fees you have paid to the judging event
Processing Fee: The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) charges a processing fee on entry fees. The processing fee covers costs of data entry of each dancers name and birthdate per event in the events data system which has to be done manually each year, data entry of each routine title and dancers in that routine, data entry of length of music, data entry if props are used, uploading music to data system per event, labeling each file to the entry numbers given by each event, video/judges audio uploading, video/judges audio data entry submission, video/audio judging encoding, financial transaction and processing fees, accounting fees for invoice set up and processing payments. If refund/adjustment fee are given by an event or if the event changes to virtual and there is a change in fee, The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) charges a processing fee for accounting fees, processing refunds and financial transaction fees. Processing Fee is non refundable. Once entry fee paid no refund Any request to cancel entry fee before deadline date expires, there will be a $75 cancellation fee + 3% processing fee..
When registering to perform at such events you are adhering to the Judging Event Companies Release of Liability and Policies. These policies are found on the Judging Event Website that have been provided to you on Stack TeamApp and Agreement Form. It is the parent/guardian's responsibility to review the terms and conditions of these judging events. You are releasing The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) from any liabilities associated with attending these judging events
Edge Spirit Wear: Dancers are to wear Edge Jacket/Hoodie/T-shirt when on stage to receive awards. If dancer isn't wearing Edge Jacket/Hoodie/T-shirt for award ceremony, dancer will watch awards from audience.
Prize/Custom Awards: Any prize money won for solo, duet, trio is credited to the students account at The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) Prize money won for group routines belongs to The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) to offset competition expenses such as props, transportation and The Edge School of Performing Arts representative on event date. Custom Awards that are given with prize money or given for achieving high scores for solo, duet, trio will be given to the dancer keep. Custom Awards that are given with prize money or given for achieving high scores for groups belongs to The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.)
Judging Event Rules & Regulations: 1. The Edge Stage Stars Judging Event: If "live" event is not able to run "in person" entries will perform "virtually". If Dancer is not able to participate due to injury or conflict of date, dancer will be adjudicated virtually. Dancers that perform virtually receive digital video of routine, digital photo, adjudication, medal, pin, and award ribbons, eligibility for special awards, eligibility for most promising, eligibility for outstanding achievement and eligibility for highest overall mark. No Refunds, No Cancellations or No Credit. 2. Judging Events hosted by other companies: if "Live" event is not able to run in person a virtual option may be offered if resources are available or event will be postponed. No Refunds, No Cancellations or No Credit. 3. Judging Events reserve the right to add/subtract days, move/postpone or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances. Dates and Faculty are subject to change. If you have a conflict of date with an event after payment is submitted there is no cancelation or refund for that date. 4. Judging Events reserve the right to run their schedule up to one hour earlier than the scheduled performance time. 5. Judging Events reserves the right to combine or split categories. 6. Cell Phones and Other Mobile Devices may not be used in photographic or video mode in any change room, rest room, or other private area of the competition. Additionally, no calls may be placed or taken in the theatre/ballroom, or back stage. Please use common courtesy when using mobile devices in other areas of the competition. 7. Personal photography is allowed in public areas of the competition only. You must have consent to photograph any other attendee, spectator or team member. Judging Events allow designated staff to take images of attendees and spectators for social media and other promotional purposes, including on stage during performance and awards ceremonies, back stage, warm up room, lobby, or anything within the event vicinity. Disqualification will only occur at the discretion of the event directors. 8. No Communication with the Judges (Oral or Written) by Teachers, Parents, or Dancers during the Event is Permitted. The Decision of the adjudicators is final.
Entry Fee Refund Policy: 1. Judging Events: No Refunds, Cancellations or Credit. Judging Events are not held responsible for sudden cancellation or time lost due to extreme weather, black outs, power outage, bomb threats, terrorism, pandemic, epidemic, quarantine, illness outbreak, disease, or any other event beyond the control of the judging events. The Edge Stage Stars: No refunds/cancellations due to injury or illness. Refund Policy for other judging events are outlined on their websites.
Date & Time Schedule for Judging Event: 1. Final performance schedule with performance date and times will be sent via Stack TeamApp a couple of weeks before event takes place. As soon as The Edge School of Performing Arts receives the finalized schedule, performance date and times will be sent via Stack TeamApp. By registering for these events you are committing to being available for all dates listed for these events. The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) is not able to accept schedule requests or change of date. 2. On the day of Judging Event, the Dancer must be in rehearsal space at time noted on the schedule. If dancer is not present at rehearsal and no communication has been made by email to TheEdgePA@icloud.com with reason for being late, dancer will not be permitted to go on stage and perform. If Dancer forgets tights or part of costume, dancer will not be permitted to go on stage and perform. Dancers are to wear Edge Jacket/Hoodie/T-shirt when on stage to receive awards. If dancer isn't wearing Edge Jacket/Hoodie/T-shirt for award ceremony, dancer will watch awards from audience. Hair and make up is to be presentable and professional. 3. Staying overnight at a hotel where a dance competition event is taking place or near dance competition event is at the discretion of the parent. It is not mandatory to stay at hotel when attending competition events. Dance Competition Companies offer Group discount rates at participating hotel. Hotel information can be found on the competition website. It is the responsibility of the parent not The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) to access that information from the competition website. Group rates only available for duration of specific date or quantity of rooms available.
Indemnification and Release of Liability Policy: By registering you agree to waive, release and forever discharge any and all claims or causes of actions which you may have now or hereafter against The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.), whether known or unknown, arising out of any injuries, contraction of infectious communicable disease, or damage that the undersigned may sustain in connection to their participation in program and will indemnify and hold harmless The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.), it's directors, officers, employees, volunteers and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") you further agree not to sue The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) for the claims waived and released in our School Policies.
Workshop/Convention Company Cancellation Policy: There is no Cancellation for Workshop/Convention Registrations once payment is submitted. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. No refunds. Spaces are limited. The Workshop/Convention Company reserves the right to limit registration. The Workshop/Convention reserves the right to cancel workshop due to insufficient registrations.
Hip Hop Routine with Guest Choreographer: 1. Registration for this program is done at the time of initial registration. 2. Dates and times are subject to change.3. Dance Team Hip Hop Guest Choreography Routine Cancellation Policy: 1. There are no cancellations from 10 days prior to the start date of the Choreography Date. 2. Any Cancellation prior to the 10 days before start date of the Choreography are subject to $40 Adjustment Fee plus 3% processing fee as dancer is registered taking a spot and choreography has been set with your dancer in the routine. 3. In the Case you need to cancel Hip Hop Guest Choreography Routine, you must submit your request to The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) by email to TheEdgePA@icloud.com. Once notice is received, refund process will commence. Administration fees are non refundable. 4. Allow 30 days for a refund to process.
Specialty Routines: (Solo, Duet, Trio, Small Group) perform in three judging events. A fourth optional competition can be selected for Specialty Routines. In an effort to make recitals a comfortable length for audience attendees and dancers, Specialty Routines do not perform in recital. Specialty Routine Choreography fees are outlined on the registration form. Specialty Routine Choreography fee covers cost of learning the specialty routine. Once specialty routine is choreographed it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to book half or hour private lessons to prepare for judging event. Private lessons can be done before the judging events or after each judging event. You decide how many practices you would like after the initial 1 hour lesson to learn the choreography, followed by two half hour sessions for performance preparation before the first judging event. Four Half Hour practices is recommended for those seeking to accomplish strong results. If specialty routine is presented during class time, it is not for the purpose of practicing the specialty routine or to receive corrections from instructor.
“Specialty Routine”: Dancers wanting a “Specialty Routine” ie. solo, duet, trio or small group must submit their request on the registration form. All applications are reviewed by The Admin Team. Dancer selects the song and style of dance. When selecting solo, duet, trio, dancer selects style of dance according to classes they are currently registered in. For example, a dancer that doesn't take lyrical class can not do a lyrical solo, duet, trio or small group. If you register for a "specialty routine" after you submitted and paid for your Registration, a processing fee will be charged to cover the cost of adding a spot on the roster, the expense of record keeping, accounting, and other administrative costs. Dancers must maintain an average mark of 87 or higher in your competitive season to be eligible for a solo the following year
The Edge solo/duet/trio/small group "Specialty Routine" Policy and Commitment: 1. Solo/Duet/Trio/Small Group Specialty Routine Performance Routine song length minimum 1min 50seconds, maximum 2min 30seconds. *The final song length and edit is the decision of the Instructor. The Edge Media Department edits music, formats music and uploads music to the judging events audio systems. Choreography is done by the choreographer only. 2. Mandatory lesson for Solo/Duet/Trio/Small Group: Mandatory 1 hour private lesson to learn the choreography paid at time of registration. Followed by two mandatory 30min private lessons booked before first judging event to work on spacing, counts, strength and facial expressions (the two mandatory 30min private lessons need to be booked before the first judging event) to properly prepare performance requirements that are needed for successful results. Payment due no later than the week before the private lesson. - additional 30min private lessons can be booked at anytime or between judging events, you can book as many private lessons as you feel necessary.- For those seeking to accomplish strong results, it is recommended to have four half hour lessons after learning the choreography (2 before first judging event, one before second judging event and one before third judging event) This allows the dancer to work on strengthening the solo and applying feedback from judges critiques. 3. Solo/duet/trio/small group must be practiced weekly at home on dancers own time. Create a weekly practice schedule running the routine three times in a row once a week, if dancer is in a small group they can run the routine on their own. First run through work on counts, second run through work on strong arms, feet, technique and third run through add facial expressions. 4. In an effort to not confuse a "run through" holding the same value as a "lesson", Solo/duet/trio/small group are not be permitted to run before/after/between/during class on a weekly basis. Two 30min private lessons after learning the choreography is mandatory to properly prepare performance requirements that are needed for successful results. Additional private lessons can be booked-Two weeks before dress rehearsal and first judging event, solo/duet/trio/small group will dance once before/after/between class. One week before the 2nd & 3rd judging event, solo/duet/trio/small group will dance once before/after/between class. The instructor will organize this the week before.5. The dancer selects the song and style of dance (the dance style choices are: ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, musical theatre, open, contemporary, hip hop). Once you have a song selected send an email to TheEdgePA@icloud.com to have the song approved and reserved for you. Once a song has been reserved for a dancer or group, it can not be used for another dance. Dancers selecting a Solo/Duet/Trio/Small Group must select a style of dance according to classes they are currently registered in. For example, a dancer that does not take lyrical class can not do a lyrical solo. Int 2/Sr Dancers selecting a Pointe Solo/Duet/Trio are required to do 15min pointe class during ballet class for all 3 Terms. 7. Parent/Guardian selects and purchases costume for solo/duet/trio/small group. The Edge Admin Team will email suggestions of where to purchase costume.8. "Specialty Routines" (solo/duet/trio/small group) perform in three judging events (not recital) with an option of a fourth optional judging event. This is in an effort to make recitals a comfortable length for audience attendees and to be mindful of not overloading dancers with too many costume changes. Dancer's selecting a Duet/Trio/Small Group can partner with anyone on Jr, Inter or Sr Teams only. Alumni dancer's can not partner with Jr/Inter/Sr for duet/trio/small group.
Dance Team Code of Conduct: PURPOSE: The purpose of The Edge Dance Teams is to provide students with an opportunity to participate in an activity and develop sportsmanship, character, and competitiveness. As a member of the Dance Team you represent our dance program; and your conduct and actions in the classroom, on the dance floor, and attending dance related events should not deviate from the regulations and code of conduct set forth in our Code of Conduct. Team members must show determination, dedication, and desire to be a productive member of this team. It is the dancers’ responsibility to remember choreography and to learn and practice any choreography missed due to absences before their next practice. PRACTICE ETIQUETTE AND BEHAVIOUR: One verbal warning will be given for any unruly behaviour in practice. This includes talking on stage, non-participation or any behaviour disruptive to the team. A written agreement will be given for a second warning. A dancer will be asked to leave practice in lieu of any additional warnings. No cell phones during practice, rehearsal or before going on stage. When dancer is going to mark movement is must be verbalized to instructor in order for the instructor to know why the dancer is marking movement. DEDICATION: There is a level of commitment required to be a part of the Dance Team. You must have a desired level of commitment not just for yourself, but for your ENTIRE team. Being on this team you depend on all of your other team mates to be at practice consistently and do their part in having the knowledge of their routine. If at anytime you are not doing your part as a productive member of this team you will be first given a warning, second written agreement, if situation is not resolved you may be suspended from the Dance Team. Example – Correcting team mates, arguing about counts, arguing who went faster, making negative comments about other dancers or making comments on who will win solo/duet/trio/ sm grp category ……..Use Time Management Techniques for studying and homework!
